This is a Dell laptop review. I needed a new laptop for mainly office tasks, video editing, video conferences, etc. Its specs make it a good gaming laptop as well. You can find the technical specs further down this page.

Here are my Dell laptop specs. If you’re looking for a good laptop,  these specs would be a good guide line:

Note that it doesn’t have to be an Inspiron, it can be a Studio or Vostro or XPS, as long as it has good specs (cpu, memory, etc), you’re on the right track. Also, it does’nt have to be an i7 cpu, i5 has good performance and will be good also. I also want to clarify that this Dell is better than my OLD acer, but new ACERs are just as good (Bought 2 for my nephews). I have lots of experience with Acers and they are always a good choice to consider as well.

UPDATE 22-OCT-2015:
My up until now trusty Dell would not start. I tried using a backup image but with no results. The computer does start in Safe mode. I Have checked for viruses and tried to use all sorts of restore techniques but with no results. I have to say that in retrospective the Dell would heat up to 99 Celsius (if the room is not air conditioned) or more so I can guess that the inability to load Win7 may involve a hardware problem, maybe the hard disk.
I’m now using a new Lenovo Z50 with i7 cpu and Windows 10 . The Lenovo is much quieter, almost no heat at all is sensed, BUT, it is not as fast as the Win7 Dell. I can just hope it will hold at least 5 years as the Dell did. It may be a good idea to replace the HD with a flash memory type drive, for more reliability, faster performance and less heat.
