Johann Sebastian Bach

June 16th, 2008 · No Comments

Soundtrack – Music from Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five
Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Pianist Glenn Gould with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra.

I’ve been having this vinyl record for ages. Now it’s on a CD. This is not just for the classical music lover, but for anyone who wants to get away, and listen to something completely different or wanting to hear classic music, but don’t know where to start. This is quite a masterpiece CD, containing 3 keyboard (piano) concertos, on a slow to medium pace. Very delicate and calming – Theses concertos do not sound like the “classic” music of that era (two worlds colliding..), it is orchestral of course (with piano solo’s), but it seems it was composed yesterday…
